Delivery Methods

Through distance education at NC State, regular full-time courses are delivered to you by UPS ground service or electronically. Full-time faculty members delivering lectures to full-time campus students are recorded and transmitted to the student by CD-Rom or downloaded by video-stream from the course website. You will receive lecture notes, handouts, and assignments typically via the Web. You also will have:

bullet 3

a faculty academic advisor,

bullet 2

access to the resources of electronic reserves at NC State libraries, and

bullet 4

contact with your professors and advisors by email or telephone.

According to our graduates:

"You converse with professors via email with questions on the lecture material."

". . . . They send video tapes, lecture notes, and will even send text books so no trip to the university is required."

"Being a distance education student enables you to use a library service that will photocopy and mail journal articles and other materials at no cost other than copying costs. "

Details about delivery methods and other Engineering Online features are available at the Engineering Online web site.
