Master of Civil Engineering (MCE) Degree

The courses for the MCE degree are selected by the student and their advisor to develop a Plan of Graduate Work of 30 semester credit hours that is tailored to the students career needs within the framework of the program and Graduate School requirements. Getting a master's degree increases your expertise and helps set the stage for job promotions and career advancement. The MCE degree is aimed at the engineer in consulting, industry, or government who needs additional courses in their field and related fields beyond the BS engineering degree to improve career-relevant knowledge and skills. While you will learn relevant theory, the focus of the course work is on the application of theory to real-world problems. The MCE degree is available either by distance delivery or through traditional on-campus classes. The requirements are the same and the results are considered equivalent.
