Extension
Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) extension activities are offered through the Institute of Construction of the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at NC State University (NCSU). Roberto Nuñez, PE and Phil Lewis, PE are the extension specialista and coordinators of this work.
CCEE extension efforts have focused on continuing previous work and services and maintaining relationships while also working in new strategic directions for the CCEE program. As a result, the CCEE specialists follow a strategic plan that incorporates new service offerings to enhance NCSU's support to the construction industry. Applied research and technology transfer services have been added to existing programs in technical and safety related training as well as technical support. The CCEE plan is consistent with a new vision to cover the breadth of civil, construction and environmental engineering and include international and bilingual components to match current globalization trends.
