Concrete Technology Training

All courses are developed entirely by CCEE specialists in close cooperation with NCSU Civil Engineering Faculty, the Carolinas Ready Mix Concrete Association (CRMCA) and the American Concrete Institute (ACI).

Masonry Wall Construction Training

This one-day course represents an instruction breakthrough. Developed by CCEE in close cooperation with NCSU Civil Engineering Faculty, this one-day seminar addresses new requirements for safer masonry wall construction in the United States. The reception of this course has been excellent and is being offered through a partnership with the Carolinas Associated General Contractors (CAGA).

OSHA Safety Training

CCEE specialists re-designed various safety courses and offer various classes on Fall Protection, Excavation and Trenching, Lockout/Tagout and Confined Space Entry, OSHA 10 and 30-hour programs, and Hazard Identification for Engineers and Architects. A new course on OSHA safety, completely in the Spanish language was developed and offered for the first time in North Carolina to Spanish speaking contractors. Additionally, CCEE has participated in a statewide task force to develop new safety standards for Communication Towers.

Training to Professional Engineers

A program titled Design Your Own Educational Experience is offered over two days late in the fall of the year where construction professionals are able to attend a series of two-hour seminars (up to 16 contact hours) in a wide variety of managerial and technical topics. The additional fall series of programs include topics such as: Wind Design Requirements, Wood Design Fundamentals, Stormwater Design Fundamentals, Fiber-Reinforced Polymers, A Construction Professional's Guide to Contracting, Dispute Resolution and Depositions, Design and Construction of Pervious Pavement, Age and Failure of Structures, Deep Foundations, as well as this year's offering of the Design Your Own seminars.
