Research Interests

Numerical and experimental investigations of soil micromechanics, shear banding in granular materials, unsaturated soil mechanics, discrete element method (DEM) modeling, finite difference modeling of complex earth structures and geotechnical processes, soil-continuum interfaces, computer applications in geotechnical engineering, image analysis.
