Transportation system observability, control, and network planning; sensors and
instrumentation, wireless traveler information systems, traffic incident management
systems, highway capacity and safety modeling, quality of service assessment,
highway safety, and network capacity investment planning; modeling, simulation,
and optimization of transport systems and networks; freight logistics; multi-objective
optimization
