Student Activities and Organizations
Student chapters of the American Society of Civil Engineers,
Associated General Contractors, National Association of Home Builders, Institute
of Transportation Engineers, and Air and Waste Management Association
undertake projects to further student exposure to the profession. Guest speakers
representing various aspects of engineering practice speak at weekly lunch meetings.
Students who accumulate outstanding academic records may be considered for membership
in honor societies such as Chi Epsilon and Tau Beta Pi. Through
the generosity of industry and program alumni, many scholarships are available
on a competitive basis to students in addition to university, college and need-based
financial aid.
